Our NDIS Gaming Gatherings are inclusive social sessions designed to help you develop essential life skills while having fun. We provide a supportive community where gamers can connect, collaborate, and learn together through their shared love of gaming.


Overview

Our Gaming Gatherings offer a unique opportunity for neurodivergent gamers to combine their love of gaming with personal growth. By connecting with peers who share their enthusiasm for gaming, participants can foster meaningful relationships, build essential life skills, and develop a sense of belonging.

These gatherings are more than just a fun escape; they serve as a platform for skill-building and personal development. Participants will learn valuable tools that can help them navigate real-world challenges, while also creating lasting memories and friendships.

Key Features

  • Skill Development: Learn emotional regulation, self-awareness, communication, and teamwork.

  • Social Connection: Connect with peers who share your interests and build healthy relationships.

  • Resilience Building: Develop coping strategies to navigate challenges both within and outside of gaming.

  • Career Exploration: Discover how gaming-related skills can open up new opportunities for employment and personal growth.

Format & Structure

  • Weekly Sessions: Two-hour sessions held weekly.
  • Facilitator-to-Gamer Ratio: 1:5 ratio of facilitator to gamer.
  • Session Structure: Weekly check-in, gaming time, and customized learning based on skill and capacity.
  • Casual Gaming: Participants can remain for casual gaming sessions after the structured gathering.

Customised Approach

Our Gaming Gatherings cater to various skill levels, allowing participants to progress through three levels:


Focus: Basic gaming skills, healthy habits, social connections.

Key Features: Regulation, game design, strategy, peer connections, goal setting.

Focus: Strengthening community ties and leadership skills.

Key Features: Goal setting, accountability, leadership development, career exploration.

Focus: Exploring gaming-related careers and practical skills.

Key Features: Skill development, hands-on experience, community connection, and fun.
