The Collective was born from a passion for gaming and a desire to create a positive space for young people in the wider Bairnsdale Area.
The Story
After moving to Paynesville from the city four years ago, owners Anna and Deryck, local parents themselves, saw a gap in entertainment options for tweens and teens.
Their brainstorming sessions, often fuelled by family game nights with their son (an avid gamer!), sparked the idea for The Collective.
Witnessing the joy and connection their son experienced through gaming, especially as a neurodivergent child, solidified the vision.
